(A) The person in charge of any garage or repair shop or any other person to whom is brought any motor vehicle which shows evidence of having been involved in an accident or struck by any bullet shall report this fact to the police headquarters of the city immediately upon receipt of the motor vehicle, giving the engine number, the name and address of the owner or operator, license number and make of the vehicle. Failure to report the fact, as described in this section, shall be punishable as provided in this chapter.
(B) In the event the alleged violator fails to appear at the city court after receiving arrest notification, a warrant shall be issued for the arrest and appearance in city court of the alleged violator.
