179.02 BONDS.
(a) Every officer and employee of the City shall be bonded, conditioned upon the faithful performances of his duties and the correct accounting for and rendering to the City of all moneys or other properties coming into his hands and belonging to the City. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to purchase a public employees blanket bond in order to comply with this section or any part thereof.
(b) The premiums on all official bonds shall be paid by the City from appropriations made therefor.
(c) No official bond shall be accepted unless it bears, endorsed thereon, the approval of the Director of Law as to its form and sufficiency. (Ord. 6590. Passed 2-5-64.)
(d) All City employees and officials shall be bonded for two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500), except the following and they shall be bonded in the amount set forth:
