177.02 OATH OF OFFICE.
   The members of Council, the City Clerk, the City Manager, the directors of all departments and all police and fire officers shall, before entering upon the duties of such office
or employment, take and subscribe to an oath or affirmation to be filed and kept in the office of the City Clerk in substantially the following form:
   I,                                                 , do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and obey the Constitution and laws of the United States and of the State of Ohio, and that I will in all respects observe the provisions of the Charter and ordinances of the City of Hamilton, and will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of ________________________.
   The foregoing oath may be administered by the Mayor, the Judge of the Municipal Court of Hamilton, the City Clerk, or by any notary public authorized to administer oaths in Ohio, and the person administering such oath shall, over his signature and below the signature of the person taking and subscribing thereto, state the fact of its taking and subscription before him.
