171.07 ADVERTISING FOR SUPPLIES WITH STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS.

   In advertising for bids for the furnishing of articles, commodities, supplies, equipment or materials for which standard specifications have been adopted, it shall be sufficient to refer thereto by the general trade name and by citing the appropriate standard specification and by stating that standard specifications may be examined at the office of the City Purchasing Agent. The City Purchasing Agent may require bidders to submit samples with their bids in cases in which it is practicable to do so. (Ord. 2013-9-79. Passed 9-25-13.)
