171.02 BIDS FOR PURCHASE CONTRACTS.

      Except in emergency cases as defined in this chapter and except as may be otherwise provided by ordinance or resolution, in any specific case, every purchase of any articles, supplies, commodities, materials, equipment, and services involving an expenditure of seventy five thousand dollars ($75,000) through calendar year 2024 with an increase of three percent (3%) for each calendar year thereafter, as determined and published by the Ohio Director of Commerce or more shall be made by contract let after advertising as provided by law. Any such purchase which involves an expenditure less than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) shall be done or made by contract consistent with written procedures in the Administrative Directive for purchasing.
