169.01 WORK REQUIRING BIDS.

   Except in emergency cases as defined in this chapter and except as may be otherwise provided by ordinance or resolution, in any specific case, every public work or improvement not executed directly by the City and involving an expenditure of seventy five thousand dollars ($75,000) through calendar year 2024 with an increase of 3% for each calendar year thereafter, as determined and published by the Ohio Director of Commerce or more shall be done or made by contract after advertising as provided by law. Any such work or improvement which involves an expenditure of less than seventy five thousand dollars ($75,000) through calendar year 2024 with an increase of 3% for each calendar year thereafter, as determined and published by the Ohio Director of Commerce shall be done or made by contract consistent with written procedures in the Administrative Directive for purchasing.
