1199.03 SIDEWALKS.

   (a)   Sidewalks shall be five (5) feet in width, unless otherwise approved, and shall be constructed of a material approved by the Director of Engineering. Sidewalks shall be constructed on both sides of every road or street wherelots are of a width of 120 feet or less. Sidewalks shall be constructed on one or both sides of streets irrespective of the width of lots, where, in the judgment of Planning Commission, sidewalks are necessary to protect the safety of pedestrians. Where plats are designed with interior walkways, walks shall be constructed to adequately serve the area being platted.

   (b)   Sidewalks, where required, shall be completed within five years of the approval of the Final Plat. The Subdivider may request an extension of the time frame to install sidewalks from the Planning Commission.
