943.051 RESIDENTIAL SOLAR GENERATION SERVICE RATE SCHEDULE.
(a) Availability. This schedule is available to residential customers with qualifying customer owned inverter based solar generator facilities designed to operatein parallel with the City of Hamilton Electric Distribution System.
(b) Applicability. Service under this schedule is applicable for customers in good standing, with a customer-owned solar renewable electric Generation Facility as defined in the Interconnection Standards for Installation and Parallel Operation of Customer-Owned Renewable Electric Generation Facilities 25 kWac or less. This schedule is applicable to electric service for individual Residential private dwellings served through one meter at a single point of delivery. Service under this schedule is not applicable to seasonal, standby, auxiliary, or supplementary service or for resale service.
(c) Character of Service. The type of service furnished under this rate schedule shall be single phase, 60 Hertz alternating current at available City secondary voltages supplied througha single set of service wires.
(d) Monthly Rates and Charges.
(e) Customer Billing Credit. The billing credit for surplus renewable energy generated by the Solar Generation Facility and delivered to the Electric Distribution System shall be in accordance with the Energy Charge Rate listed in this Schedule. In the event that the energy (kWh) generated by the Solar Generation Facility exceeds the energy (kWh) consumed by the Customer at the Customer's premises during an annual period, no credit shall be provided for energy (in kWh)that exceeds the Customer’s energy consumption during said annual period.
(f) Rate Adjustment. This rate schedule is subject to the following riders and taxes:
Rider A — Power Cost Adjustment Rider (PCA)
Rider B — Electric Rate Stabilization Fund Adjustment Rider (ERSF)
Rider C — Suburban Surcharge Rider
Rider D — Unfunded Environmental Mandates Adjustment Rider (UEMA)
Rider E — Unfunded Governmental and Regulatory Mandates Electric Utility Adjustment Rider (UGRMA)
Rider F — Economic Development Cost Electric Utility Adjustment Rider (EDCA) Renewable Energy Net Metering Rider Excise (Kilowatt-Hour) Tax.
(g) Terms and Conditions.
(1) Service hereunder is subject to the General Service Regulations of the City applicable to Electric Service. Additional special terms and conditions include the following:
A. The City shall offer this Residential Solar Buy All Sell All Service to Customers that wish to receive billing credit for surplus renewable energy supplied to the City from eligible Customer-owned Solar Generation Facilities.
B. This Schedule shall only be available to Customers in good standing under City Electric General Service Regulations and Electric Rates. All agreements hereunder shall be between the Customer and the City and will not include third parties.
C. This Schedule is also subject to the provisions of the Interconnection Standards for Installation and Parallel Operation of Customer-Owned Renewable Electric Generation Facilities 25 kWac or Less.
D. The Interconnection Agreement between the City and Customer must remain in effect and the Customer-Owned Generation Facility must be in full compliance with the terms and conditions of the Interconnection Standards for Installation and Parallel Operation of Customer-Owned Renewable Electric Generation Facilities 25 kWac or Less.
E. Any required insurance coverage is specifically addressed in the Interconnection Standards for Installation and Parallel Operation of Customer-Owned Renewable Electric Generation Facilities 25 kWac or Less.
F. Nothing in this Schedule shall abrogate any Customer's obligation to comply with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, codes or Ordinances.
(2) Service under this rate schedule is subject to all applicable provisions of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Hamilton and the Utility's General Rules and Regulations.
(h) Terms of Payment. All bills shall be due monthly and payable when issued. The account shall be considered delinquent if not paid in full by the due date appearing on the bill.
(i) Late Fee. A five percent (5%) late fee will be applied to the total amount due for payments received after the due date. An additional one percent (1%) late fee will be applied on outstanding balances over thirty (30) days in arrears.
(j) Effective Date: Effective for bills rendered on and after March 1, 2018.
