127.02 DUTIES OF DIRECTOR OF HEALTH.
   (a)   It shall be the duty of the Director of Health to see that all ordinances of the City and all applicable laws of the State affecting the public health are properly enforced. He/she shall perform all the duties and exercise all the powers relative to the public health provided by general laws to be performed and exercised in municipalities by health officers. He/she shall supervise the work of the employees and subordinates in the Department Health and shall do everything necessary and proper to safeguard the health of the people of the City.
   (b)   From and after the effective date of this legislation, any reference to "Director of Public Health" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton or any other documents related to the functions and duties of said position shall be interpreted to mean the Director of Health and/or his/her delegated representative.
