127.01 DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

(a) There is hereby established the Department Health. The Director of Health shall be responsible for the operation of the Department of Health and shall be subject to the Charter and ordinances and to the direction of the City Manager or designee.

(b) From and after the effective date of this legislation, any reference to "Department of Public Health" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton or any other documents related to the functions and duties of said department shall be interpreted to mean the Department of Health.
