123.01 DUTIES OF DIRECTOR OF FINANCE.

   The Director of Finance shall perform all duties prescribed for auditors of cities by the Ohio Revised Code, and shall perform all other duties pertaining to the Department of Finance as may be required of him/her at the direction of the City Manager or his designee so far all of the former are consistent with the Charter and ordinances of the City. He/she shall be the chief fiscal officer of the City as the term is used in any pertinent statute. The Director of Finance shall report to the City Manager or his designee. From and after the effective date of this legislation, any reference to "Chief Finance Manager" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton or any other documents related to the functions and duties of said position shall be interpreted to mean the Director of Finance provided the subject matter falls within the purview of the Director of Finance or any Division under his/her direction.
