145.02 DUTIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.

   It shall be the duty of the Director of the Building Department to serve as appointing authority in the Building Department and shall be responsible for the operation of the Building Department. From and after the effective date of this legislation, any reference to "Director of Community Development" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton or any other documents related to the functions and duties of said position shall be interpreted to mean the Director of the Building Department provided the subject matter falls within the purview of the Director of the Building Department or any Division under his/her direction.
