141.01 ESTABLISHMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

(a) There is hereby established a Department of Economic Development to be administered by the Economic Development Director. Such Director shall be subject to the Charter and ordinances of the City of Hamilton and to the ultimate direction of the City Manager. The Director of Economic Development shall report to the City Manager or his designee.

(b) From and after the effective date of this legislation any reference to "Division of Economic Development" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton shall be interpreted to mean the Department of Economic Development provided the subject matter falls within its purview.
