150.02 DUTIES OF DEPUTY CITY MANAGER/DIRECTOR OF GENERAL OPERATIONS.
It shall be the duty of the Executive Director of Internal Services to act as liaison to and for the City Manager on all matters of City Policy pertaining to operations and management within the Department of Internal Services and shall be responsible for the handling of sensitive issues, special projects, municipal budgeting, labor relations, and all such other duties pertaining to the Department of Internal Services, in such other assigned departments and divisions. From and after the effective date of this legislation, any reference to "Director of Administration" or "Director of Economic Initiatives/Assistant City Manager" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton or any other documents related to the functions and duties of said position shall be interpreted to mean the Executive Director of Internal Services provided the subject matter falls within the purview of the Executive Director of Internal Services or any Division under his/her direction.
