735.11 EXEMPTIONS.

   The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any person:

   (a)   Conducting a garage sale, lawn sale, yard sale, or basement sale at or within reasonable proximity of his/her garage, lawn, yard, or basement;

   (b)   Who is engaged in the sale of motor vehicle(s);

   (c)   Who deals exclusively in coins, precious metals, musical instruments or books;

   (d)   When transactions of five or fewer compact disks, video game cartridges and/or video game compact disks, DVDs, or books results in store credit and no money is given for these items;

   (e)   Conducting a charitable rummage sale, book sale and the like or a charitable thrift store, the entire proceeds of such sale or store which will be contributed to a charitable organization;

   (f)   Who deals exclusively in antiques;

   (g)    Who operates a consignment shop;

   (h)   Who operates a junkyard;

   (i)    Who deals exclusively in second-hand furniture;

   (j)   Who deals exclusively in second-hand clothing; or

   (k)   Conducting an estate sale or auction.
