303.08.2 STORAGE FEES FOR POLICE IMPOUNDED VEHICLES TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY TO THE MUNICIPAL GARAGE OR OTHER MUNICIPALLY OWNED STORAGE FACILITY.
(a) In order to recover costs incurred by the City for the impoundment of certain vehicles, there is hereby established a storage fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) per day, for an unlimited number of days, which shall be paid to the City by the owner of any vehicle impounded by the Hamilton Police Division to the City Municipal Garage or any other municipally owned storage facility, and in addition thereto, such owner shall pay the applicable fees set forth in Section 303.08.1.
(b) The Chief of Police, or his designee, may waive or decrease the fees set forth in this section in order to avoid any injustice to the vehicle owner which might occur as a result of the imposition of these fees.
(c) The City Manager shall make, and from time to time may amend, revoke or add to such rules and regulations not inconsistent with this chapter as he may deem necessary to regulate the storage services provided to the City.
(d) All monies collected by the City for the above fees shall be credited to the City's General Fund.
