943.04 STREET LIGHTING.

   (a)    Within Corporate Limits.

      (1)   The Utility shall provide street lighting service for the streets and alleyways, parks, and City owned and operated parking lots within the corporate limits.

      (2)    No charges will be billed for installation, operation, or repairs and maintenance costs for standard street lighting.

      (3)    Non-standard street lighting poles and fixtures, including for historic district lighting, and installation thereof, shall be subject to the prior approval of the Director of Electric. Materials cost, including required inventory, and other additional costs, on non-standard street lighting poles and fixtures shall be incurred by and are the sole responsibility of the particular project.

   (b)    Outside Corporate Limits. The Utility shall provide street lighting service outside the corporate limits only pursuant to a contract, which, if entered into after May 14, 2002, shall have been approved by the Director of Electric, between the Utility and the responsible entity specifying the terms, conditions and rate of payment for this service.
