353.17 PARKING METER FUND.

   (a)   A parking meter fund is hereby established by the City. The fund shall be known as Code 1300, Parking Meter Fund. All revenues derived from parking meters, rental of surface parking lots, the operation of the municipal parking garage and the rental of any storeroom space in the municipal parking garage shall be credited to such fund.

   (b)    The Parking Meter Fund shall be used for the purpose of properly regulating and controlling traffic upon the public streets of the City, and also the cost and supervision of regulating the parking of vehicles, parking meter zones, and the cost of leasing, supervision, protection, inspection, installation, operation, maintenance, control and use of parking meters, the cost of additions and improvements, expenses of maintenance, the amount set aside for sinking fund purposes, and in general the cost of traffic supervision and control.
