136.02 DUTIES OF DIRECTOR.
   It shall be the duty of the Director of Utility Operations to manage and supervise the functions and operations of the City's electric utility and all operations and maintenance of the City's utility plants. The Director shall perform all other duties pertaining to the Department of Utility Operations which may be required of him by ordinance and the City Manager or his designee. Subject to the approval of the City Manager or his designee, the Director may promulgate rules and regulations relating to the operation and function of the electric utility. From and after the effective date of this legislation, any reference to "Director of Electric" or "Director of Underground Utilities" in existing legislation, codified or uncodified, or any rules and regulations of the City of Hamilton or any other documents related to the functions and duties of said position shall be interpreted to mean the Director of Utility Operations provided the subject matter falls within the purview of the Director of Utility Operations or any Division under his/her direction.
