977.01 GOLF COURSE FEES.

   (a)    The fees for the use of the municipal golf courses and their facilities shall be as follows:

      (1)    Seasonal Permits. Seasonal Permits shall be valid, and the charges therefore shall be in effect, from January 1 to December 31 of each year. Seasonal Permits are not transferable, nor shall anyone be entitled to a refund once the permit is issued. Seasonal Permits may be used interchangeably at all Hamilton municipal golf courses. Seasonal Permit fees shall be set annually by the City Manager or the Director of Public Works or their designee and shall be posted by January 1 of each year.

      (2)    Daily Fees. Daily fees, including Greens Fees, Locker Fees (locker rental), Golf Cart rentals and Spectator Rates, shall be set by the City Manager or the Director of Public Works or their designee.

   (b)    Complimentary Golf Privileges. Effective February 27, 2008 only those retired City of Hamilton employees with thirty (30) or more years of service accrued prior to January 23, 2008, and any other individuals who were previously granted lifetime golfing privileges at no cost to the former employee or individual for greens fees at those golfing facilities owned and operated by the City of Hamilton, Ohio pursuant to any legislation previously adopted by Council, golf rangers and golf starters pursuant to written agreement shall be permitted complimentary golfing privileges.

      (1)    Weekdays/Weekends. Such complimentary golf privileges may only be exercised for complimentary play as follows:

         A.    Complimentary play retirees, starters and rangers and anyone else seeking to use complimentary play privileges daily (Monday through Sunday) before 11 :00 a.m. may make a tee time in advance if there are golfers in their group that will be paying greens fees.

         B.    Complimentary play persons are permitted to play free before 11:00 a.m. daily (Mondays through Sunday) if they accompany paying players on a one-for-one basis. Otherwise, those complimentary play persons wanting to play without having paying golfers in their group may come to the course on the day they want to play and may play, but only if there are tee times not taken by golfers paying greens fees.

         C.    Complimentary play persons are permitted to play without having paying golfers in their group prior to 11:00 a.m. (Monday through Sunday) only if there are neither tee times taken by golfers paying greens fees nor paying golfers waiting to take the tee.

      (2)    Paying Golfers. Golfers paying greens fees taken precedence over players with complimentary golf privileges on the tee at all times.

      (3)    Coupons. Any coupons, previously issued by the City offering "buy one, get one free" or any other special offer shall be honored only in accordance with the restrictions stated on the coupon.

      (4)    Educational Institutions and Non-Profit Institution. The City Manager or the Director of Public Works or their designee may give free golf privileges to educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

   (c)    Effective January 1, 2008, there shall be a Summer Only Non-peak Playing Hours Pass from Memorial Day to Labor Day:

      (1)    Summer Only Pass: The Summer Only Non-Peak Playing Hours Pass shall be valid, and the charges therefore shall be in effect, from Memorial Day to Labor Day of each year. Said Pass is not transferable, nor shall anyone be entitled to a refund once the pass is issued. The Pass may be used interchangeably at all Hamilton municipal golf courses.

      (2)    Non-Peak Playing Hours are defined as after 11:00 a.m. on any open play day.

      (3)    Summer Only Non-Peak Playing Hours Pass Fees shall be set annually by the City Manager or the Director of Public Works or their designee and shall be posted by January 1 of each year.
