973.04 SEPARATION OF SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS REQUIRED.

   All solid waste set out for collection by the collection contractor shall be separated from recyclable materials, except when the recyclable material is used in connection with the disposal of solid waste or has otherwise been contaminated in such a way as to render such recyclable material useless for recycling. Newsprint shall be considered unusable for recycling and contaminated if it has been exposed to substances or conditions rendering its fiber useless for recycling as paper. Persons may wrap solid waste in used newspapers and discard same with the regular solid waste.
