761.37 TESTING OF TAXIMETER.

   The Transportation and Traffic Division shall inspect and test the taximeter or every taxicab as follows:

   (a)   At least every six months while in service;

   (b)   Whenever the schedule of rates is changed;

   (c)   Whenever the previous test seal is broken, removed or defaced, if the taximeter is to be continued in service;

   (d)   Whenever the taximeter or any mechanism of or in connection with it has been removed, disconnected, broken or repaired, and it is to be restored to service; and

   (e)   Whenever any credible complaint is made to the Transportation and Traffic Division or to a law enforcement officer that any taximeter is not registering accurately.
