761.24 APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE TO OPERATE ONE OR MORE TAXICABS.

   The holder of a certificate of public convenience and necessity issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall apply to the Director of Finance for a license to operate such number of taxicabs belonging to the certificate holder as may come within the scope of its certificate. Such application shall be in writing and shall state the full name and address of the holder of the certificate as applicant, the trade name under which the applicant is authorized to do business according to its certificate, the type of vehicle and a current photograph of the vehicle for which the license is desired, the length of time such vehicle has been in use and its odometer reading, the number of persons it is capable of carrying and, the design, color scheme, the local symbol used or proposed to be used, together with all other lettering or marks used or proposed to be used by the applicant on the vehicle.

   The City Manager or his designee may require such additional information as to the financial responsibility and fitness of management, of officers and of stockholders of the applicant, and such other information about the applicant or the application as he may desire. The application, together with any statements or further information required by the City Manager or his designee shall have affixed thereto an affidavit duly sworn by the applicant respecting the accuracy of the requirements set forth above.
