721.03 CONDITIONS FOR LICENSE; REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICANT.
No public dance hall license shall be granted to any applicant therefor who is a person of bad moral character, or who has within the six months preceding his application for such license been convicted of the violation of any provision of law or ordinance regulating or appertaining to public dance halls or public dances, or for the violation of any law or ordinance regulating or prohibiting the sale, possession, dispensing, or trafficking in intoxicating liquors or beverages. Nor shall such license be granted if within the six months next preceding the application therefor any similar license held by such applicant has been revoked. No public dance hall license shall be issued until the application therefor shall have been referred to the Chief of Police, nor then unless he reports that there is no objection under the provisions of this section to its issuance.
