719.01 DEFINITIONS.

   As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases are defined as follows:

   (a)    "City-wide garage or yard sale" includes all sales of personal property, open to the public, conducted from or upon the Municipal Parking Lot located at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and High Street.

   (b)    "Personal property" means that property which is owned, utilized and maintained by a resident of the City, or members of his or her household, and acquired in the normal course of living in or maintaining a residence. Personal property does not include merchandise which is purchased for resale or acquired on consignment.

   (c)    "Vendor" means an individual resident of the City who has acquired a permit from the City to sell or offer for sale personal property from or upon the Municipal Parking Lot located at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and High Street.

   (d)    "Commercial vendor" means a nonresident of the City or a person who sells or offers for sale merchandise which was purchased for resale or acquired on consignment. (Ord. 90-12-101. Passed 12-12-90.)
