713.04 CARROUSELS.

   An annual license fee of thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($37.50) for each flying American, flying dutchman, merry-go-round, carrousel, miniature railroad train, miniature airplane ride or similar device is hereby established.

   The license shall be issued by the Director of Finance upon proper application.

   Any licensed carrousel operator may apply to the Chief of Police to exhibit a carrousel or similar device within the City. Such application shall be submitted not less than seven days prior to the date on which the exhibition of such device is to be given. Upon receipt of such application the Chief of Police shall cause an investigation to be made of the premises upon which it is requested that such device be exhibited. If the premises is in a business or industrial use district and the Chief of Police finds that the exhibition of such device or devices will not interfere with the peace and quiet of the area, he shall grant such permission.

   The applicant is required to post a satisfactory certificate of insurance, to be approved by the Director of Law.

   The City Manager may waive the license fee requirement in connection with charitable organizations. (Ord. 6048. Passed 3-19-59.)
