705.04 STANDARDS FOR LICENSE.
   (a)    Each ambulance, at all times when in use as such, shall:
      (1)    Conform with the standards, requirements and regulations provided for in this chapter for the transportation of patients, from the standpoint of health, sanitation and safety, and the nature of the premises in which it is maintained;
      (2)    Meet current State of Ohio minimum training requirements for attendants and driver; meet or exceed the Federal minimum design requirements and the minimum standards for equipment as established by the U. S. Department of Transportation;
      (3)    Contain equipment conforming with the standards, requirements and regulations provided for herein, which equipment shall be in proper and good condition for such use;
      (4)   Currently comply with all applicable laws and local ordinances relating to health, sanitation and safety;
      (5)    Be equipped with such lights, sirens and special markings to designate it as an ambulance as may be prescribed in reasonable regulations provided for by Council or the Fire Chief; and
      (6)    Be operated at a safe speed and in a safe manner at all times.
   (b)   Any change of ownership of a licensed ambulance shall terminate the license and shall require a new application and a new license and conformance with all the requirements of this chapter as upon original licensing.
   (c)   Application for transfer of any ambulance license to another or substitute vehicle shall require conformance with all the requirements of this chapter as upon original licensing. No ambulance license may be sold, assigned, mortgaged or otherwise transferred without the approval of the Fire Department and a finding of conformance with all the requirements of this chapter as upon original licensing.
   (d)   Each licensed ambulance, its equipment and the premises designated in the application and all records relating to its maintenance and operation as such, shall be open to inspection by the Fire Chief or his subordinate during usual hours of operation.
   (e)   No official entry made upon a license may be defaced, removed or obliterated. (Ord. 7659. Passed 10-11-72.)
