553.10 SPEED.
   (a)   No person shall operate any locomotive, or any train on a railroad, at a rate of speed greater than fifteen miles per hour across any grade crossing which is not protected by watchmen, bells and lights, gates or otherwise to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works, or at a rate of speed greater than thirty-five miles an hour across any grade crossing which is so protected.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
