545.21 OCCULT PRACTITIONERS.

(a) No fakir, palmist, clairvoyant, astrologer, occult practitioner of any kind or any person who professes to read the future or foretell the fortunes of individuals shall engage in any such activities or ply any such trades for remuneration or directly or indirectly make any charge therefor or receive or accept donations, fees, gratuities or any other thing of value for or upon so doing, unless a permit therefor shall first have been obtained from the City Manager.

(1931 Code §99.5212)

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
