525.17 TEASING OR STRIKING POLICE DOGS.
(a) No person shall willfully or maliciously taunt, torment, tease, strike at beat or otherwise act to provoke, or to permanently or temporarily disable without injuring, any dog which has been trained to assist in law enforcement activity, whether or not the dog is then engaged in law enforcement activity.
(b) No person shall knowingly cause any sensory capacity of any dog which has been trained to assist in law enforcement activity to be permanently or temporarily disabled, whether or not the dog is then engaged in law enforcement activity.
(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
