(A) It is unlawful for any person to consume alcohol or to possess an open container containing alcoholic beverages within a public park or recreational area including:
(1) Athletic facilities including, but not limited to, baseball and softball diamonds, athletic fields, soccer and other game courts;
(2) Playgrounds;
(3) Vehicle parking areas in a public park or recreational area;
(4) Interior roadways contained within a public park or recreational area; or
(5) Inside recreational centers, concession buildings, and restroom facilities.
(B) For purposes of this section, the term
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES is used as defined in the Tex. Alcoholic Beverage Code.
