12.16.070 Numbering system.
   A.   Except for the following streets and highways as listed below, the present block system for numbering streets that exist within the city limits shall remain. Newly annexed areas shall conform, as will all structures fronting upon city-maintained streets that lie within the county island areas of the city, to the city block numbering system.
      1.   State Highway 99, East Gridley Road, West Biggs- Gridley Road, Bonnell Avenue, Obermeyer Avenue and Archer Avenue shall be readdressed by the county of Butte's method of numbering streets. Every one thousand three hundred twenty feet shall be allotted one hundred numbers.
      2.   State Highway 99 will begin with "0" at the south county line and increase in number therefrom. East Gridley Road numbering will begin with "0" at State Highway 99 and increase easterly in number therefrom. The West Biggs-Gridley Road numbering system will begin with City block number 1600, at its intersection with Sycamore Street, and increase in number, in a northerly direction, therefrom.
      3.   Obermeyer Avenue and Archer Avenue numbering will begin as "0" at State Highway 99 and increase easterly therefrom.
   4   Bonnell Avenue will begin at 1450 and increase northerly therefrom.
   B.   The even numbers will always be on the right-hand side in all directions, on all streets, when looking toward the higher numbers.
   C.   The city shall furnish all street signs to be erected under this chapter. All house numbers and commercial or industrial property numbers shall be provided and placed on the real property at the expense of the owner(s). Failure to do so shall be an infraction and will be punishable as such.
