A. It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to possess any glass beverage container within any city park or parking lot, except that the sponsor of an organized public event who obtains a city permit for the event may obtain permission from the Chief of Police to possess glass beverage containers, provided that the containers remain under the sponsor's control and are not distributed to participants of the event. "Beverage" means any liquid intended for human consumption.
B. Violation of this section shall be an infraction. The provisions of this section shall be enforced by the Chief of Police or his designee.
