A. All crosswalks at locations other than intersections shall be established by resolution of City Council, pursuant to California Vehicle Code. All such crosswalks shall be located with their centerlines established at the locations described. A current list of those specific locations designated as crosswalks shall be maintained by the City Clerk's office and by the Gridley Police Department.
B. The operator of any motor vehicle operating on any streets where a mid-block crosswalk is established shall bring his vehicle to a full and complete stop within not less than ten feet nor more than fifty feet from the nearest boundary of the crosswalk, if there is any pedestrian in the crosswalk at the time of the approach.
C. Any crosswalk established pursuant to this section shall be plainly marked with white or yellow paint, so that the crosswalk may be visible to any approaching motorist and informing the motorist that a crosswalk is just ahead.
