3.24.030 Use of funds–generally.
   A.   Money appropriated can be delivered to the District Chamber of Commerce, or so some similar body, or spent by the city council itself for the following purposes:
      1.   To publicize and promote and advertise the city and to answer public inquiries concerning the city;
      2.   To act as a visitors’ bureau and to publish brochures concerning the city and the surrounding community for the purpose of advising interested parties concerning the various physical, economic and societal aspects of the community;
      3.   To promote the natural and scenic beauties and assets of the area.
   B.   This chapter contemplates the use of funds under Government Code § 37110, in addition to § 40100.
   C.   It is contemplated that the District Chamber of Commerce or other such institution will use the funds available and assigned by resolution or motion from year to year, to cover salaries, rental, publication, promotional activities, and other business overhead.
