§ 96.018 EXCAVATION IN AND USE OF PARKWAY OR STREET.
   (A)   No excavation in or tunnel under any public street, parkway, alley, sidewalk or other public place in the city shall be made, nor shall any public street, alley or sidewalk be obstructed by the storage or placement of materials or equipment, nor shall any vehicle be driven across any parkway, excepting at an established driveway constructed in accordance with the ordinance of the city, without a permit having been issued.
   (B)   A fee, as set out in § 38.01 of this code of ordinances, shall be charged.
   (C)   No excavation shall be permitted to be left unfinished of its original state for a period of more than 14 days. After said time, the city reserves the right to restore the affected infrastructure to an original condition and retain any deposit in addition to charging the property owner listed on the permit for any additional expense if incurred.
