§ 53.003 ABBREVIATIONS.
   The following abbreviations, when used in this chapter, shall have the designated meanings.
   BOD. Biochemical oxygen demand.
   C.F.R. Code of Federal Regulations.
   COD. Chemical oxygen demand.
   EPA. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
   gpd. Gallons per day.
   mg/l. Milligrams per liter.
   NPDES. National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System.
   POTW. Publicly-owned treatment works.
   RCRA. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
   SIC. Standard industrial classification.
   TSS. Total suspended solids.
   USC. United States Code.
