§ 90.14 CLASSIFICATION, PENALTIES AND FINES OF VIOLATIONS.
   Any person who violates this chapter shall be subject to a fine or action, as follows:
   (A)   For any violation of §§ 90.05, 90.08, 90.10, 90.11 and 90.12, a fine of $20 for the first offense, with the fines increasing in increments of $20 for each subsequent offense within one year of the first offense, but not more than $1,000.
   (B)   For any violation of §§ 90.02, 90.04 and 90.09, a fine of $50 for the first offense, with the fines increasing in increments of $50 for each subsequent offense within one year of the first offense, but not more than $1,000.
   (C)   For violations of § 90.03, a fine of $100, with fines increasing in increments of $100 for subsequent violations. If a dangerous animal has been confiscated for violation(s) of § 90.03, then the animal may be euthanized after seven days’ notice to an owner.
   (D)   Any person or persons owning a dangerous animal and subject to the orders of the Animal Control Officer, may appeal any such findings or orders by giving written notice of appeal to the Animal Control Board within seven days of any such findings or order, or within seven days in the event of notice that an animal will be euthanized. The Animal Control Board shall forward the notice of appeal to the secretary of the Animal Control Board. The Animal Control Officer shall cease any action that is irreversible with regard to any animal pending appeal.
   (E)   Habitual offenders. A court of competent jurisdiction may declare a person a habitual offender and that person or owner shall not own, keep or harbor any animal within the city limits.
   (F)   Any person or owner found to be a habitual offender is subject to having the animal(s) immediately confiscated by the Animal Control Department and subject to a fine of $250 for each offense. The court of jurisdiction will be notified of this violation.
   (G)   The fines for citations shall be paid within ten days to the City of Greensburg office of the Clerk-Treasurer. The person issued a citation shall be liable for all reasonable and necessary legal expenses, court costs, and other costs of collection in the event the fine is not paid.
