921.01 UTILITY METERS LOCATION.
   (a)   No gas, electric, water or other utility measuring meters and devices shall be located on any side of a home facing a street.
   (b)   All new and rewired electric services shall comply with the following standards:
      (1)   Technical requirements are those of The Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company and the current adopted issued of the National Electrical Code. (ANSI/NFPA-70)
      (2)   Where the service conductors enter the building is normally where the service panelboard or the service disconnecting means is located. If the panelboard is remote from this location, the service disconnecting means can be located outdoors, adjacent to the location where the electric supply conductors enter the building.
      (3)   Electric metering equipment shall be mounted with top edge more than four feet above grade. The cost of additional material and labor to comply with this requirement is the owner’s expense. Remote registers may be located at any outside location. The cost of remote registers is the owner’s expense.
      (4)   The owner shall meet with the electrical contractor and a representative from Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company to agree on an acceptable installation location.
      (5)   The owner or electrical contractor shall notify the Building Department before the new service is installed.
