ADOPTING ORDINANCE
ADOPTING ORDINANCE No. 83-13 L
Passed February 15, 1983
TO APPROVE, ADOPT AND ENACT THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF GREENHILLS, OHIO: TO REPEAL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH: TO INCLUDE THE ENACTMENT OF NEW MATTER THEREIN: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
   WHEREAS, the Village of Greenhills has previously adopted and published the Codified Ordinances by Ordinance 72-41L, passed October 3, 1972; and
   WHEREAS, the Village has maintained the Codified Ordinances to November 15, 1977, by approving the preparation of replacement pages thereto; and
   WHEREAS, the Village has reverted from City status to Village status with a corresponding change in organizational structure; and
   WHEREAS, many new ordinances have been enacted since November 15, 1977, and statutory changes enacted by the Ohio legislature should be reflected in local legislation;
   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY the Council of the Village of
Greenhills, State of Ohio, that:
   Section 1.
   The ordinances of the Village of Greenhills, Ohio, of a general and permanent nature, as complete to January 1, 1983, and as revised, codified, rearranged and consolidated into component codes, titles, chapters and sections are hereby approved, adopted and enacted as a continuation of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Greenhills, Ohio, 1972. One book-form copy of the Codified Ordinances shall be certified as correct by the Mayor and Clerk of Council, attached to this Ordinance as a part hereof, and filed with the permanent records of the Village of Greenhills, Ohio.
   Section 2.
   The provisions of this Ordinance, including all provisions of the Codified Ordinances, shall be in full force and effect as provided in Section 4 of this Ordinance. All ordinances and resolutions or parts thereof enacted prior to January 1, 1983, which are inconsistent with any provision of the Codified Ordinances, are hereby repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance.
   Section 3.
   Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.23 and 731.25, the Clerk of Council shall post copies of the Codified Ordinances along with a copy of this Ordinance in the five public places provided by Section
   Section 4.
   This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect immediately. The reason for the emergency is that there exists an imperative necessity for the earliest publication and distribution of the Codified Ordinances to the officials and residents of the Village, so as to facilitate administration, daily operation and avoid practical and legal entanglements.
PASSED THIS 15th DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1983.
