741.01 SOLICITING PROHIBITED WITHOUT INVITATION.

   (a)   The practices of going in and upon private property and residences in the City by solicitors, peddlers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors not having been requested or invited to do so by the owner or occupant of such private residences, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise and/or for the purpose of disposing of and/or peddling or hawking the same is hereby prohibited.

   (b)    This section shall not apply to schools or other nonprofit organizations.

741.02 ENFORCEMENT.

   The Chief of Police and the police force of the City are hereby required and directed to suppress any violation of Section 741.01.

741.99 PENALTY.

   Whoever violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Each day on which a violation occurs or continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
