(A) The following described persons are exempt from the registration requirements imposed under § 112.16 for the purposes indicated:
(1) A person selling commodities for the bona fide purpose of raising funds in support of a nonprofit charitable, educational, scientific, religious, or civic organization or purpose when no part of the net proceeds are retained by the person for his or her own benefit;
(2) A person soliciting subscriptions to newspapers;
(3) A farmer selling unprocessed produce raised on his or her own farm;
(4) A person selling his or her own property which was not originally acquired for purposes of resale;
(5) A person holding a city wholesale or retail merchants license who temporarily and incidentally to the conduct of his or her regular business conducts a sale of commodities from a temporary structure on his or her own premises, or conducts the sale from different premises but under the name of his or her regularly established and licensed business;
(6)
Honorably discharged military service veterans of a class described by state law who have obtained a license from the County Auditor pursuant to I.C. 25-25-2-1, and who limit their activities to vending, hawking, or peddling goods, wares, fruits, and merchandise; or
(7) Manufacturers, producers, wholesalers, wholesale distributors, jobbers, or their authorized sales representatives soliciting orders from retail merchants or other wholesale consumers or wholesale distributors at the latter’s place of business.
(B) However, a person exempt from registration under this section is not exempt from the regulations imposed under § 112.20 to the extent otherwise applicable.
