The Audit Committee shall consist of five members: the Mayor, the chairperson of the Finance Committee of Council and three qualified electors of the city appointed for staggered terms of six years, or until their successors have been appointed. The general provisions of § 7.2 of the Charter shall apply to the Audit Committee. The appointed members of the Audit Committee shall be established as follows: one member for an initial term of two years and one member for an initial six-year term shall be appointed by the Mayor, and one member for an initial term of four years shall be appointed by Council.
