§ 71.002 SCOPE; APPLICABILITY

   (A)   Every building used in whole or in part as a dwelling unit or as two (2) or more dwelling units shall conform to the requirements of this article, irrespective of the class to which such buildings may otherwise belong, and irrespective of when such building may have been constructed, repaired, or altered.

   (B)   No person shall occupy as owner occupant or let to another for occupancy any dwelling or dwelling unit for the purpose of living, sleeping, cooking, or eating therein which does not comply with the requirements of §§ 71.025 through 71.029.
