The following rules and regulations are ordained and established for the conduct of the parks of the City and the use thereof by residents and guests:
(a) Park Hours. Parks open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m. daily.
(b) Natural Resources. No person shall injure, deface, remove or destroy any tree, flower, shrub or other natural feature in the parks.
(c) Climbing Trees, Buildings. Climbing any tree or walking, standing or sitting upon buildings, fountains, walls, fences or copings is prohibited.
(d) Garbage; Trash. Garbage or other waste materials shall be deposited in proper receptacles for such purposes. No person shall dispose upon the Park grounds rubbish, ashes, leaves, cans, bottles, wire, paper, cartons, boxes, oil, glass or anything else of an unsightly or unsanitary nature.
(e) Disorderly Conduct. Any person violating the Parks rules and regulations as posted at any parks location, on the City’s website, or in other publications may be directed to leave the Park, may be held accountable for the cost of any damage to City property, and may be liable for any penalties described herein.
(f) The Director of Parks and Recreation may propound rules and regulations for use of the parks, and shall post all such regulations on City resources, including but not limited to parks bulletin boards if such are available. Further, the Mayor may authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation to waive the requirement of any of the rules and regulations for special events or occasions, including events sponsored by the City, and may alter the rules for use of specific facilities by directive.
