Applications for permits to connect, tap, construct, modify or make attachments to public sewers shall be made to the director upon forms provided by the City. Such applications shall be accompanied by a fee in accordance with the City of Grand Island Fee Schedule to cover the cost of inspection, recording, and other expenses. The application shall show the exact location of the proposed work, and when requested by the director, the plumber shall provide plans or specifications of the proposed work. When required, an application shall be on file with the director twenty-four hours before the issuance of a permit. If work is commenced prior to application for the permit, an Unauthorized Connections/Reconnections fee, in accordance with the current Grand Island Fee Schedule shall be assessed. Each permit shall expire six (6) months from date of issuance.
