22-42   Pedestrians; Right-Of-Way
   A.   Pedestrians shall obey the instructions of any traffic control device specifically applicable to said person, unless otherwise directed by a police officer.
   B.   Every pedestrian who crosses a street at any point other than within a marked crosswalk, or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection, shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles upon the street.
   C.   Between adjacent intersections at which traffic control signals are in operation, pedestrians shall not cross at any place except in a marked crosswalk.
   D.   No pedestrian shall cross a street intersection diagonally.
   E.   It shall be unlawful for the operator of a motor vehicle to fail to perform or obey the requirements, duties, or provisions of this section.
