(a) There is hereby created the position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court.
(b) The Mayor is hereby empowered to appoint a suitable person to serve for a period running concurrently with the Mayor as Clerk of the Mayor's Court, and the Mayor may from time to time appoint an assistant who shall serve only at the Mayor's discretion, upon the posting of such bonds as may be required by law.
(c) The Office of the Clerk and any assistants as shall be hired from time to time shall be paid at the rate as established by ordinance for the Secretary to the Mayor.
