(a) There is hereby established the position of Village Engineer for the Village of Glenwillow, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council in January of each even numbered year, or as soon thereafter as is practicable, for a term of two (2) years unless otherwise determined by the Mayor and Council. The Village Engineer shall be a duly licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio. When provided for by the Council, the Mayor in lieu of an appointed Village Engineer, may enter into a contract for the employment of a firm of engineers to perform the functions of Village Engineer, which contract shall provide for the compensation to be received and shall provide for a term of two (2) years, unless otherwise determined by the Mayor and Council.
(b) The Village Engineer shall receive compensation as set by the Council which, if employed by contract, shall set forth the compensation for both ordinary and extraordinary services. (Ord. 2 014-4-31. Passed 4-16-14.)
