(a) With the exception of full-time Police Officers and those employees specifically exempt under the provisions of Ohio R.C. 145.03, membership in and contribution to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) is required by state law and compulsory upon being an employee by the Village. Contribution is made by payroll deduction at a rate determined state law.
(b) Membership in and contribution to the Ohio Police and Fire Fund (OP&F) is required by State law and compulsory upon being a full-time Police Officer of the Village. The Village shall pay the employer's contribution to the Ohio Police and Fire Fund pursuant to and in compliance with Chapter 742 of the Ohio Revised Code for each regular full-time officer.
